[Winterswijk, NL, June 07, 2023] - The Dutch Bamboo Foundation, a leading organization dedicated to promoting bamboo as a nature based solution, is happy to announce its acceptance as a Partner Member of the prestigious New European Bauhaus initiative. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for the foundation and reinforces its commitment to fostering innovative and sustainable solutions.

The European Bauhaus is an ambitious initiative launched by the European Commission that aims to merge art, culture, sustainability, and inclusivity to shape the future of living and transform our built environment. As a Partner Member, the Dutch Bamboo Foundation will actively contribute to this transformative movement by leveraging its expertise in sustainability, regeneration, design, and construction, while promoting the use of bamboo as a versatile and eco-friendly material.

Late last year, INBAR, a global network dedicated to promoting the use of bamboo and rattan for sustainable development, was also named an Official Partner of the European Bauhaus. The Dutch Bamboo Foundation is proud to align itself with INBAR and other renowned organizations in driving sustainable design and construction practices forward.

"We are thrilled to become a Partner Member of the European Bauhaus, alongside INBAR and other esteemed organizations," said Brian Wennersten, Director of the Dutch Bamboo Foundation. "This partnership provides us with a remarkable opportunity to collaborate with like-minded entities and individuals in envisioning and creating sustainable and human-centric spaces. We are excited to contribute our knowledge and experience in bamboo design and construction to drive positive change in the built environment."

Bamboo, known for its strength, versatility, and rapid growth, offers an eco-friendly alternative to conventional building materials. By embracing bamboo in architectural and design projects, the Dutch Bamboo Foundation aims to promote sustainable construction practices, reduce carbon emissions, and foster a more harmonious relationship between buildings and nature.
